Voice AI
Chatbot
A chatbot is software that holds a text-based conversation, typically on a website or in a messaging app. It's one form of conversational AI — the text counterpart to a voice agent that talks on the phone.
Chatbots range from rule-based (scripted buttons and branches) to LLM-powered (open, natural conversation). The same underlying conversational AI can drive either a chatbot or a voice agent; voice adds speech-to-text and text-to-speech on top.
