Inbound calling

Also called: inbound calls

Inbound calling refers to phone calls that come *in* to a business from customers. For a voice agent, handling inbound means answering every call instantly, understanding what the caller wants, and resolving it — booking, answering, or routing.

Inbound is the receptionist/support motion. Its opposite is outbound calling. Strong platforms treat both as first-class rather than specializing in only one.
